The episode is directed by Yasuhiro Geshi, best known for his work on Stardust Telepath, while Takaomi Tanasaki is handling both the script and the storyboard, promising another tightly crafted installment.
New preview images hint at another deeply personal episode for Monica Everett, the shy genius known as the Silent Witch. Monica is the only mage capable of using magic without chanting, a rare and dangerous skill that once allowed her to defeat a legendary black dragon all on her own. While her magical abilities are legendary, Monica’s crippling shyness adds a human vulnerability that makes her story even more captivating. Her mastery of silent spellcasting was born not out of ambition but from a desperate need to avoid public speaking.
Studio Gokumi continues to lead the animation with crisp visuals and atmospheric storytelling. Character designs are being handled by Cona Nitanda, while Rina Tayama teams up with Cygames to deliver a captivating musical score. The opening theme “feels” and the ending track “mild days,” both sung by Hitsujibungako, further enhance the emotional beats of the show with their warm and melodic tones.
The anime is adapted from the light novel by Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi, with the manga version illustrated by Tobi Tana. Since its serialization began in 2021, Secrets of the Silent Witch has continued to grow its global fanbase. Yen Press holds the English license for both the novel and the manga, allowing fans outside Japan to dive deeper into Monica’s magical world.
