Solo Leveling, the hit webnovel-turned-anime phenomenon, is stepping onto the ice with a new production titled Solo Leveling on Ice, running December 24–31 at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul.

This ambitious reimagining transforms the world of hunters and monsters into a live-action musical spectacle performed on ice. The production will feature solo and ensemble performances by current and former South Korean national figure skaters, combined with live music, idol performances, and immersive projection mapping.

Triple S member Chae-yeon Kim stars as Jin-ah Sung, the younger sister of protagonist Jin-woo Sung—marking her first foray into musical theater. The adaptation promises to fuse emotional storytelling with athletic precision, bringing the intense action and cinematic visuals of Solo Leveling to life in a new medium.

The franchise has already proven unstoppable. The webtoon adaptation reached global acclaim, and the anime’s second season, Solo Leveling Season 2 – Arise from the Shadow, debuted in January 2025 to massive success—ranking #1 on Amazon Prime Japan and placing in the Netflix Top 10 in 11 countries.

Fans have also embraced Solo Leveling – ReAwakening, a compilation film and sneak peek of Season 2’s first episodes, screened internationally by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures.

With ice, lights, and live vocals, Solo Leveling on Ice aims to capture the emotional intensity of Jin-woo’s transformation from the weakest hunter to humanity’s greatest hope—this time through breathtaking choreography and dazzling visuals.
