Fans attending San Diego Comic Con 2025 are in for a rare treat as Crunchyroll has officially confirmed that exclusive footage from the highly anticipated Infinity Castle movie will be revealed during a special panel in Hall H on July 26.
The Saturday evening showcase will not just feature a sneak peek at the movie but will also bring some of the biggest names behind the project to the stage. Director Haruo Sotozaki, Director of Photography Yuichi Terao, and voice actors Natsuki Hanae, who plays Tanjiro, and Aleks Le, the English voice of Zenitsu, are all expected to attend. Adding to the excitement is the presence of LiSA, the artist behind some of the most iconic theme songs in the franchise. Together, this team will offer fans insights into the making of the film and what to expect from this climactic chapter.
This special preview follows an earlier limited screening at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where Crunchyroll’s Executive Vice President, Mitchel Berger, emphasized the growing global demand for anime and hinted at the massive plans in store for this release.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on July 18 with special midnight screenings kicking things off. The movie will be the longest in the Demon Slayer saga so far, surpassing the runtime of Mugen Train by a significant 38 minutes. It will also mark the franchise’s widest domestic release to date, with more theaters across Japan showcasing the film than ever before.
The excitement does not end there. Crunchyroll’s Chief Content Officer Asa Suehira has teased an international launch that he describes as unprecedented. The global rollout is scheduled to begin on August 14 across the Asia Pacific region. Latin America and parts of Europe and the Middle East will follow on September 11, and North America will join the lineup on September 12, along with additional international territories. This scale of release signals a new era for anime films making an impact worldwide, with Infinity Castle poised to lead the charge.
The film will be produced by the renowned studio ufotable with Sotozaki returning as director. According to the official synopsis, the story picks up during the Hashira Training arc, where the Demon Slayer Corps is preparing for an inevitable final confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji. However, that preparation is cut short when Muzan suddenly invades the Ubuyashiki Mansion, pulling Tanjiro and the Hashira into the demon stronghold known as the Infinity Castle. What unfolds is the beginning of a decisive and visually stunning battle that will determine the fate of the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons they have sworn to eliminate.
With the final act of one of anime’s most beloved series now taking shape, fans around the world are holding their breath. The Infinity Castle arc is not just a continuation.
