Yoshitoki Oima’s emotional and thought provoking manga To Your Eternity has officially concluded after an impactful eight and a half year run. The final chapter was published in the 27th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine on June 3, 2025, bringing Fushi’s transformative journey to a heartfelt close.

To mark the occasion, the series ended with a special color opening page and a cover illustration dedicated to the final chapter. Fans in Japan will be able to own the last volume when Volume 25 hits shelves on August 12, 2025. As a celebration of the series’ conclusion, Weekly Shonen Magazine has also announced a commemorative giveaway, including a high quality reproduction of the color page and a shikishi board signed by Yoshitoki Oima.

First launched in November 2016, To Your Eternity became one of the most unique and emotional manga of its generation. It told the story of Fushi, an immortal being who initially appears as an empty shell but slowly gains humanity by taking on various forms and connecting with people through both love and loss. Oima, who was inspired by the passing of her grandmother, infused the story with powerful themes of survival, growth, and human emotion.

Throughout the series, Fushi evolves from an emotionless orb into a complex character with his own thoughts, fears, and sense of purpose. Each encounter leaves a mark, and every transformation helps him inch closer to understanding what it truly means to live.

The manga's influence extended far beyond the page. Its anime adaptation, first aired in 2021 by Brain’s Base, captured the emotional weight of the story with striking visuals and a haunting score. A second season followed in 2022, produced by Drive, and a third season is already scheduled to premiere in October 2025.

In North America, Kodansha USA has been publishing To Your Eternity both digitally and in print, allowing English speaking audiences to experience Oima’s beautifully layered storytelling. As of April 2025, twenty four volumes have been released.

The ending of To Your Eternity closes a powerful chapter in manga history. It is a series that never shied away from difficult themes and consistently challenged its readers to reflect on life, identity, and the meaning of connection.
