A Special Theatrical Event for Fans
The highly anticipated film JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution – Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins will hit theaters in Japan on November 7, 2025, with screenings also available in IMAX for a fully immersive experience. North American audiences will not have to wait long either, as Toho Animation and GKIDS are bringing the movie to theaters on December 5.
This compilation is unique because it serves two purposes. It offers fans a chance to relive the intense Shibuya Incident arc from the anime while also showcasing the first two episodes of the upcoming third season, which adapts the infamous Culling Game arc.
New Trailer and Character Visuals
A brand-new main trailer has been released, giving fans a glimpse at both the recap of the Shibuya Incident and the new material from the Culling Game. Alongside the trailer, new character visuals of Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, and Choso have been unveiled, building excitement for what lies ahead.
The third season, titled JUJUTSU KAISEN: The Culling Game, will officially begin airing in Japan in January 2026. Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide, ensuring fans across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS can follow the story as it unfolds.
Returning Staff and Studio MAPPA’s Vision
MAPPA, the powerhouse behind JUJUTSU KAISEN’s stunning animation, returns once again to deliver on the franchise’s dark and action-packed vision. Shota Goshozono, who helmed Season 2, will direct The Culling Game. He will be joined by Hiroshi Seko handling series composition, Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa managing character designs, and Yoshimasa Terui providing the score.
Fans can expect the same level of breathtaking animation, heart-pounding battles, and emotional storytelling that have made JUJUTSU KAISEN one of the most dominant anime of the decade.
The Story That Captivated the World
JUJUTSU KAISEN follows Yuji Itadori, a high schooler who becomes the host of the deadly curse Ryomen Sukuna after swallowing one of his fingers. Guided by Satoru Gojo, Yuji trains as a jujutsu sorcerer to fight curses and protect humanity. The Shibuya Incident arc saw devastating consequences for both sorcerers and curses, and now the stakes rise even higher as the deadly Culling Game begins.
With its gripping blend of supernatural battles, emotional character arcs, and shocking twists, JUJUTSU KAISEN has cemented itself as one of the most influential anime of the modern era.
