Muzan Kibutsuji Joins the Roster

The wait is over for fans who have long anticipated controlling Demon Slayer’s most terrifying villain. Muzan Kibutsuji is set to officially join The Hinokami Chronicles 2 roster via a free update for VS Mode on September 18. The reveal came alongside a brand new trailer showcasing his abilities and devastating fighting style, which mirrors his intimidating presence from the anime and manga. His inclusion expands the game’s already diverse lineup and sets the stage for even bigger content to come.

Infinity Castle DLC Expands the Game

Alongside Muzan’s release, Aniplex and CyberConnect2 teased the paid Infinity Castle DLC, which will deliver new character variations and fan-favorite demons to the game. The first character pass will include Infinity Castle versions of Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Giyu Tomioka, and Shinobu Kocho. It will also add fearsome Upper Moons like Doma, Akaza, and Kaigaku. This DLC brings the action-packed Infinity Castle arc directly into the game, allowing fans to relive some of the most intense battles of the Demon Slayer saga.

The Bigger Picture for Demon Slayer Fans

The release of Muzan and the Infinity Castle DLC comes at a perfect time, as the anime franchise is hotter than ever. Crunchyroll continues to stream all seasons of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime, including the recently concluded Hashira Training Arc, while the Infinity Castle movie trilogy is already breaking records worldwide. The first film in the trilogy premiered in Japan on July 18 and has since expanded internationally, with screenings in the United States and Canada beginning September 12.

A Must-Play for Anime and Gaming Fans

With new updates, free content, and immersive DLC expansions, The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is quickly establishing itself as one of the most complete anime-based fighting games on the market. Fans eager to experience the full might of Muzan Kibutsuji and the high-stakes Infinity Castle battles will find plenty to be excited about this month and beyond.
