The upcoming anime The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses has finally confirmed its premiere date. The series is set to hit screens on July 12 and a brand new visual has now been released, showcasing the core cast of characters and giving fans a better look at what to expect from this chaotic romantic comedy filled with deadly surprises.
Studio CONNECT is handling the animation production, with Noriaki Akitaya directing the project. Michiko Yokote is leading the series composition, Takao Sano is designing the characters, and Shun Narita is composing the music. Together, the team brings to life a unique blend of action, humor, and unexpected romance.
The voice cast features Shunsuke Takeuchi as Toto, the painfully shy but capable hero who struggles with even basic social interaction. Joining him are Iori Saeki as the elegant and calculating Ciel, Hitomi Ueda as the mischievous Anemone, and Haruka Shiraishi as the strong willed Goa. These three deadly princesses form the so called party that Toto has long wished for, though their intentions are anything but friendly.
The story begins in the Starting Town, where Toto, despite his impressive combat abilities, remains stuck due to his intense shyness and inability to build a party. That changes when he is approached by three striking women who invite him to join their party. For Toto, it seems like the start of the grand adventure he has always dreamed of. What he does not realize is that all three women have been sent with a single mission: to kill him.
With a protagonist who literally faints at romantic gestures and three women who are simultaneously alluring and lethal, the anime promises a wild blend of harem comedy and assassination thrills. The series is based on the manga The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses written by Norishiro chan and illustrated by Yukiji Setsuda. It has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine since October 2022.
The newly released visual teases the intense and comedic dynamic between Toto and the assassin princesses. Each character has a distinct design and energy, setting up what appears to be a fast paced story filled with misunderstandings, high stakes action, and exaggerated romantic tension.
