The Beginning After The End is officially returning with a second season in 2026. The news was confirmed by Crunchyroll on June 12, just ahead of the premiere of episode 12, which will wrap up the first season on June 18, 2025.

Crunchyroll also revealed that the upcoming season will be simulcast, allowing fans around the world to watch new episodes as they air in Japan. The announcement followed episode 11 of the current season and came with an exclusive sneak peek of the final episode.

Originally planned as a two part season with 24 episodes, the first installment will now conclude with 12 episodes. The anime premiered on April 2, 2025, and has steadily gained attention for its layered worldbuilding and character driven storytelling.

Studio A Cat is behind the animation, with Keitaro Motonaga directing. The scripts are written by Umeki and Takamitsu Kono, Masami Sueoka handled character design, and Keiji Inai composed the score.

The anime is based on the popular web novel by TurtleMe, illustrated by Fuyuki23. It began on Tapas in 2017 and quickly expanded into a webtoon in 2018. The webtoon has also been released in English by Yen Press, with six volumes published as of August 2024

The Beginning After The End tells the story of Arthur Leywin, a powerful king reborn into a new world filled with magic and mystery. As he grows up in this new life, he begins to uncover secrets far deeper than he ever imagined, blending fantasy action with emotional depth.

Fans eager for more of Arthur’s journey can look forward to the new season next year. Until then, the finale of season one is set to bring major developments when it airs on June 18.
