The Apothecary Diaries anime has been delighting fans with monthly seasonal visuals, each highlighting a different theme inspired by the natural beauty of Japan. Directed by Norihiko Naganuma, known for his work on The Ancient Magus’ Bride, the anime is produced by TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM. Naganuma also serves as series composer, with Akinori Fudesaka as assistant director. The original light novels are written by Natsu Hyuuga and beautifully illustrated by Touko Shino. With a sequel anime already in production, fans can look forward to even more of Maomao’s adventures in the imperial palace.

From then on, her reputation as a problem-solver grows as she navigates medical mysteries, political intrigue, and palace secrets.
