The upcoming horror anime Kaya chan Isn’t Scary has just dropped its first teaser trailer and fans are already buzzing. Since its announcement in November last year, the anime adaptation has been one of the more intriguing projects in the horror genre, especially given its unexpected kindergarten setting.
Seven Seas Entertainment, which licensed the manga in English, describes it as a blend of playful horror and heartwarming storytelling. Kaya may look like a misbehaving five year old, but she is actually a spirit fighting prodigy, misunderstood by adults and often punished despite trying to help. Her adventures promise to be both eerie and endearing, appealing to fans who enjoy character driven supernatural tales.
