The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Gachiakuta is set to make a powerful entrance this July, with exclusive global premiere screenings scheduled in multiple countries before the official streaming debut. Crunchyroll has confirmed that fans around the world will get an early look at the series through special theatrical events, kicking off a worldwide rollout that has anime communities buzzing.
The first major premiere will take place in the United States during Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 4. Attendees will be treated to the first two episodes of Gachiakuta along with a special panel featuring manga creator Kei Urana, graffiti artist and co creator Hideyoshi Andou, and producer Naoki Amano. Fans at the event will also experience a themed installation inspired by the anime’s gritty visual style.
In France, Gachiakuta will be screened during Japan Expo in Paris on the same day. Indian anime enthusiasts can catch the premiere on July 4 at PVR Icon in Andheri, Mumbai. Additional premieres are confirmed for major cities including Berlin, Rome, and Mexico City, with events also planned in Brazil and other regions. Each screening is curated to immerse audiences in the series’ unique world before it officially launches for streaming.
The global screenings are part of a broader campaign titled “Gachiakuta World Takeover,” a collaborative initiative between Crunchyroll, Kodansha, Avex, and Studio Bones. This campaign was unveiled alongside the anime’s latest trailer and a striking new key visual, showcasing the raw, graffiti influenced aesthetic that defines the story’s world.
According to Crunchyroll's Chief Operating Officer Gita Rebbapragada, the emotional core and intense energy of Gachiakuta are expected to captivate audiences from the very first moment. She emphasized that the promotional efforts are crafted to reflect the powerful themes at the heart of the narrative, bringing fans into a story that promises to be both unforgettable and deeply immersive.
The anime, directed by Fumihiko Suganuma and animated by the renowned Studio Bones, will officially begin streaming on Crunchyroll from July 6, 2025. Known for its emotionally charged plot and graffiti style worldbuilding, Gachiakuta is poised to become one of the most talked about series of the year.
