Dan Da Dan is making its explosive return this summer with the highly anticipated Season 2, and Episode 1 is set to air on July 3. The new season will pick up right where Season 1 left off, diving straight into the heart of the chaos as Okarun, Jiji, and Momo face off against terrifying supernatural forces. With its electrifying energy, weirdly lovable characters, and a story that blends urban legends with absurd humor and intense action, Dan Da Dan has quickly become one of the standout hits of the new generation of anime.

This season opens with Episode 13 overall in the series timeline and fans can expect even higher stakes. Okarun and Jiji find themselves inside a hidden room filled with protective ofuda seals on every surface. Before they can make sense of what they’ve discovered, an unexpected ring from the intercom sets off the next wave of danger. They open the door thinking it’s Momo, but standing outside is none other than Naki and several members of the mysterious and menacing Kito family. At the same time, Momo herself is caught in an ambush, surrounded and attacked by the Kito men while bathing in an outdoor hot spring. The tension rises fast, setting the tone for what looks like an action packed and emotionally charged continuation.

Dan Da Dan Season 2 will be streaming on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu. Hulu has also confirmed that it will offer same day English dubs, making it easier for international fans to jump in without delay. With the momentum built from the first season, the premiere of this new cour is already trending as one of the most anticipated anime episodes of the entire Summer 2025 lineup.

The story, created by Yukinobu Tatsu, continues to build on its unique blend of supernatural mystery, youthful adventure, and high energy animation. It centers around high school girl Momo Ayase and her classmate Ken Takakura, better known as Okarun. Momo comes from a line of spirit mediums, while Okarun is obsessed with aliens and the occult. After an encounter with both ghosts and extraterrestrials, Okarun ends up cursed and gains powerful yokai abilities. Along with their eccentric allies, including the fiery Turbo Granny, they battle dark forces that threaten to consume their world and their sanity.

Season 2 introduces new directorial energy as Abel Góngora joins Fuga Yamashiro, adding visual flair and dynamism to an already unpredictable series. The main Japanese voice cast includes Shion Wakayama as Momo Ayase, Natsuki Hanae as Ken Okarun Takakura, Nana Mizuki as Seiko Ayase, Mayumi Tanaka as the unforgettable Turbo Granny, and Kazuya Nakai voicing the Serpoian Alien. With new threats on the horizon and secrets still buried, the gang’s journey is far from over.

Dan Da Dan has released 19 manga volumes as of April 2025, with Volume 20 scheduled for release in Japan on July 4. The series has grown a passionate global following thanks to its relentless pacing, offbeat humor, and emotional undercurrents. Fans who’ve been waiting for Evil Eye’s next move, or for more revelations from the Kito family’s dark past, will not have to wait long.

Get ready for a thrilling new chapter when Dan Da Dan returns this week. It promises to be everything fans love about the series: absurd, terrifying, hilarious, and completely unpredictable.
