The world of jujutsu sorcerers is coming to your game nights as UNO launches a special Jujutsu Kaisen edition later this August. Priced at 1,540 yen or approximately ten dollars, this new deck is already available for pre-order across Japanese retailers including Ensky, Animate, and AmiAmi. The collaboration is designed to bring the intense energy of the hit anime series into the fun and chaos of the globally beloved card game.
The Jujutsu Kaisen UNO edition includes a total of 112 cards, featuring exclusive artwork and characters from the anime. Four specially designed cards introduce original rules created specifically for this edition, allowing fans to experience their favorite cursed techniques in a playful new format. According to the official description, it is a version of UNO that “everyone can enjoy, from children to adults,” while also offering a different and more thrilling spin on the classic gameplay formula.
This is not the first time UNO has collaborated with a major anime franchise. Previous releases included editions inspired by Haikyu!! and Naruto Shippuden. Meanwhile, other anime-themed tabletop games have seen major success, such as One Piece and Naruto editions of Monopoly, and the upcoming Berserk board game that is currently preparing for crowdfunding later this year.
As the hype around Jujutsu Kaisen continues to grow, the timing for this crossover feels perfect. Both seasons of the anime are available for streaming on Crunchyroll, and the voice cast has confirmed that work on the sequel to Season 2 is underway. Actor Junya Enoki, who voices protagonist Yuji Itadori, has expressed his excitement about recording the upcoming episodes, which will once again feature characters like Yuta Okkotsu and delve deeper into the cursed world of Shibuya and beyond.
For those unfamiliar with the anime, Jujutsu Kaisen follows Yuji Itadori, a high schooler who swallows a cursed object to save a classmate, inadvertently binding himself to Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. He joins Tokyo Jujutsu High to learn how to fight curses alongside classmates Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki under the mentorship of Satoru Gojo. The second season traces the backstory of Gojo and Suguru Geto, leading up to the tragic events in Shibuya that change everything.
Whether you're a die-hard fan of the series or just looking to spice up your next game night with some supernatural flair, the Jujutsu Kaisen UNO edition offers a perfect blend of nostalgia, strategy, and anime fandom.
