A Fresh Look at the Modern Arc
The upcoming third season of To Your Eternity will adapt the Modern Arc, continuing Fushi’s long journey into new and unfamiliar times. The trailer highlights the shift in setting while also showcasing the new opening theme “Fumetsu no Anata” performed by the iconic techno-pop unit Perfume, adding a stylish and emotional layer to the series’ grand narrative.
New Characters and Voice Cast
Alongside the trailer, the anime revealed four important new characters. Izumi, Mizuha’s mother, will be voiced by Shizuka Ito, bringing her signature intensity to an eccentric and toxic parental role. Shinichiro Miki will voice Itsuki, Mizuha’s father, while Rumi Okubo takes on the role of Mimori, a young girl pivotal to uncovering the mystery of the Nokkers. Tasuku Hatanaka joins as Hirotoshi, Mimori’s stepbrother, expanding the cast with powerful new dynamics.
The cast members themselves shared heartfelt comments about their roles, with Okubo expressing her excitement as a long-time fan of the manga, and Hatanaka noting his gratitude for joining such a beloved franchise.
Returning Staff and Production Team
Sota Yokote will helm the series as director, with Kiyoko Sayama returning as chief director after leading Season 2. Other key staff remain in place, including Shinzo Fujita as series composer, Koji Yabuno handling character design, Ryo Kawasaki composing the music, and Takeshi Takadera directing sound. The animation is being produced by Drive and STUDIO MASSKET, ensuring consistency with the quality fans have come to expect.
Premiere and Streaming Details
Season 3 is set to premiere in Japan on October 4, 2025, with Crunchyroll streaming the series in regions spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, the Indian Subcontinent, and Southeast Asia. With its blend of emotional storytelling, new characters, and fresh music from Perfume, this season is shaping up to be one of the most impactful chapters yet.
