New Characters Join the Story

The latest casting reveals bring even more depth to the highly anticipated fantasy anime. Noaya Uchida joins as Reviell Stantz, Akira Ishida voices Loki Silveria, and Sakura Tange will portray Roza Arhatia. Each character brings a unique presence to the story, which follows Alec Ygret, a former court magician exiled for his focus on support magic, who begins a new chapter alongside old comrades.

From Page to Screen

Originally a light novel series written by Alto and illustrated by Yuunagi, The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest is published by Kodansha under their Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint. The story has also been adapted into a manga drawn by Yuki Monji, serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket platform. English readers can enjoy the manga thanks to K Manga’s licensing.

Creative Team Behind the Adaptation

The anime is directed by Ken Takahashi at studio GEKKOU, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu in charge of series composition and Yoko Sato handling character designs. This experienced staff promises to bring the dramatic fantasy world to life with a balance of action, magic, and emotional storytelling.

Story Overview

The series follows Alec Ygret, once a trusted court magician serving the crown prince, who is cast out and left with nothing. When he reunites with Yorha Eisentz, a former comrade from the legendary party Lasting Period, he is invited to return to the world of dungeon exploration. With this new opportunity, Alec sets out to redefine his destiny and prove the true power of his support magic.

Where to Watch

The anime will air in Japan starting October 4 and will be available to international audiences through Crunchyroll as part of the fall 2025 lineup. Fans can look forward to an engaging fantasy filled with dungeon adventures, unique magic systems, and the story of an outcast aiming to rise higher than ever before.
