The story follows Ippongi, a rookie police officer assigned to the West Chinjuku Police Station, who finds herself partnered with Chojo—a psychic cop who uses his powers for everything except actual police work. When Ippongi’s family dojo comes under threat from local yakuza, Chojo finally decides to step up, kicking off a wild mix of crime-fighting, comedy, and chaos.
Production Details
Studio Arvo Animation, known for Kowloon Generic Romance, is handling the animation production. The series is directed by Junichi Yamamoto (Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion), with Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! Code Black) overseeing the script. Masakatsu Sasaki (Tonikaku Kawaii) is designing the characters, ensuring the anime retains the manga’s expressive art style and vibrant energy.
