The Forgers are back in action. Ahead of its October 2025 premiere, SPY x FAMILY Season 3 has revealed its very first teaser trailer along with key production details, giving fans their long-awaited glimpse into the next chapter of the beloved spy-comedy anime. This time, the series welcomes a new director as it gears up for another round of chaos, action, and family drama.
The teaser trailer, which has now gone live on official platforms, promises more of the high-stakes espionage and heartfelt hilarity that fans have come to love. It is accompanied by a striking new visual featuring the full Forger family, including Loid, Yor, Anya, and their loyal canine Bond. The visual was drawn by character designer Kazuaki Shimada and builds on the series’ tradition of showcasing each family member through stylish and expressive designs.
This season brings a major update behind the scenes. Yukiko Imai, who previously worked as an episode director for the first two seasons, has now been promoted to series director. This marks a significant shift in creative leadership, but also suggests a continuation of the tone and style that made the previous seasons so successful. WIT Studio and CloverWorks are both returning to co-produce the series, ensuring the animation quality remains top-notch.
The full creative team includes a blend of familiar names and fresh talent. Kazuaki Shimada continues as both character designer and chief animation director, maintaining consistency in the show’s visual identity. The art and design team includes Kyoko Hara on color design, Minami Usui as art director, and Satomi Sugimoto overseeing the overall art supervision. CG work is being handled by Keita Watanabe from Sublimation, while Yuya Sakuma takes care of cinematography. Rina Oguchi from IMAGICA is in charge of editing, and sound direction comes from Shoji Hata, supported by Noriko Izumo on sound effects. The music will once again be produced by the group known as (K)NoW_NAME.
All core voice cast members are confirmed to return. Takuya Eguchi will voice Loid Forger, Atsumi Tanezaki returns as Anya, Saori Hayami as Yor, and Kenichiro Matsuda will reprise his role as Bond Forger and the series narrator. Additional cast includes Hiroyuki Yoshino as Franky, Yuko Kaida as Sylvia Sherwood, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Henry Henderson, Kensho Ono as Yuri Briar, Natsumi Fujiwara as Damian Desmond, Emiri Kato as Becky Blackbell, and Ayane Sakura as Fiona Frost.
Based on the hit manga by Tatsuya Endo, SPY x FAMILY is serialized on Shonen Jump Plus and has become a global phenomenon thanks to its unique blend of comedy, suspense, and warmth. The story follows elite spy Twilight, who assumes the identity of Loid Forger to complete a secret mission. To do so, he must build a fake family only to unknowingly marry an assassin and adopt a telepathic child. What begins as a cover becomes a genuine emotional journey as the trio navigates both domestic life and international intrigue.
Following the massive success of its first two seasons and the CODE: White movie, which was crowned Best Anime Movie of 2024, the anticipation for Season 3 is already soaring. With a new director in place and a trusted production team returning, this season is poised to bring even more charm, action, and surprises to audiences worldwide.
