The long-awaited third season of Oshi No Ko is officially set to premiere on January 14, 2026, airing across more than 30 TV stations in Japan including TOKYO MX. The announcement came with a stunning new promotional video and a vibrant key visual that has left fans buzzing with excitement.
The new PV highlights Ruby Hoshino, showing her appearing on a television program as she steps deeper into the entertainment industry. The accompanying visual features Aqua and Ruby standing back-to-back, joined by Kana, Akane, and Mem-cho, perfectly capturing the emotional and dramatic tone the series is known for.
Adding to the anticipation, the ending theme song titled “Serenade” will be performed by singer-songwriter Natori, whose voice lends a heartfelt atmosphere to the preview.
New Character Visuals and Pre-Screening Event
Alongside the trailer, the production team unveiled fresh character visuals for Ai, Aqua, Ruby, Kana Arima, Akane Kurokawa, and Mem-cho, offering fans a glimpse of the upcoming season’s tone and aesthetics.

Ahead of the broadcast, an advance screening of Episode 1 will take place on December 28, 2025, at Marunouchi Piccadilly in Tokyo. The exclusive event will feature a talk session with the main voice actors, providing behind-the-scenes insights and first impressions from the cast.
To complement the launch, the “Oshi No Ko POP UP SHOWCASE” will run from November 28, 2025, to January 18, 2026, at Tokyu Plaza Shibuya. The exhibition will feature themed displays, exclusive merchandise, and immersive experiences for fans to celebrate the anime’s return.
Returning Staff and Production Details
The third season will once again be produced by Doga Kobo, with Daisuke Hiramaki returning as director and Jin Tanaka overseeing series composition. Kana Hirayama reprises her role as character designer and chief animation director, ensuring visual continuity with earlier seasons.
Season 1 of Oshi No Ko aired from April to June 2023, spanning 11 episodes, while Season 2 followed with 13 episodes from July to October 2024. Both seasons received widespread acclaim for their emotional storytelling, striking animation, and exploration of fame, identity, and loss within the entertainment world.
Oshi No Ko’s Ongoing Legacy
The Oshi No Ko manga, written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, ran in Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 until its conclusion in November 2024. Its 166 chapters were compiled into 16 volumes, marking the end of one of the most emotionally gripping series of the decade.
Licensed by Yen Press in North America, the manga is also available on Shueisha’s Manga Plus, allowing global readers to experience its intricate blend of drama and suspense. With Season 3 approaching, the anime promises to continue delving into Ruby and Aqua’s intertwined fates, merging the glitter of stardom with the shadows of past secrets.
