A fresh wave of excitement has arrived for fans of Disney Twisted-Wonderland as the anime adaptation officially revealed its latest key visual and confirmed important details for Season 1. Titled Episode of Heartslabyul, the first season will consist of eight episodes and is set to begin streaming on October 29, 2025, exclusively on Disney Plus. This marks a major step in bringing the hit mobile game’s immersive world to life on screen.
The story follows Yuu, a mysterious newcomer summoned to Twisted Wonderland, a magical academy filled with dormitories inspired by iconic Disney villains. Season one focuses on the Heartslabyul dorm, which draws inspiration from Alice in Wonderland's Queen of Hearts. This particular arc introduces themes of order, authority, and rebellion, setting the stage for character-driven conflicts and magical drama.
Studios Yumeta Company and Graphinica are collaborating on the animation. The anime previously dropped its first teaser during AnimeJapan 2025, and fans were quick to praise the visuals, animation quality, and faithfulness to the game’s style. The newly released key visual highlights the main cast of the Heartslabyul dorm, emphasizing the bold and vibrant personalities of its members.
The anime will follow the same structure as the manga adaptations. Season one covers the Episode of Heartslabyul, while future seasons are already in the pipeline. Season two is titled Episode of Savanaclaw, and season three will cover Episode of Octavinelle. This approach allows each dorm’s unique culture and lore to unfold in full, bringing the complex relationships and magical tensions to life.
Fans of the mobile game will be pleased to know that the original voice cast is returning for the anime adaptation. Natsuki Hanae returns as Riddle Rosehearts, alongside Seiichiro Yamashita as Ace Trappola, Chiaki Kobayashi as Deuce Spade, Ryota Suzuki as Trey Clover, and Tatsuyuki Kobayashi as Cater Diamond. Supporting roles include Mitsuru Miyamoto as the mysterious headmaster Dire Crowley and Noriaki Sugiyama as the mischievous companion Grim.
Direction is led by Shin Katagai, with Takahiro Natori serving as Chief Director. The script is penned by Yoichi Kato, while Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato handle character designs. These seasoned creatives aim to deliver an anime that feels both fresh and nostalgic, appealing to longtime fans of Disney lore as well as anime enthusiasts looking for something magical and new.
The opening theme song “Piece of my world” by Night Ravens was previewed earlier and is already generating buzz online. As the premiere date draws closer, anticipation is high for how the show will blend Disney magic with anime storytelling.
With the world of Twisted Wonderland expanding into anime, manga, and more, fans have a lot to look forward to. The animation promises to dive deeper into the characters, their backstories, and the rules of the mysterious academy.
