A Record-Breaking Milestone

Demon Slayer has once again proven its dominance on the world stage. Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has passed 600 million dollars worldwide, becoming the first Japanese film ever to reach this achievement. The movie also crossed 35 billion yen in Japan, making it only the second film in history to do so after Mugen Train.
Box Office Success in the US and Beyond
In the United States, the film has grossed more than 118 million dollars, making it the most successful international release in the market since Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2000. The third weekend alone added over 7 million dollars to its total. Globally, the film has performed exceptionally well, pulling in 16.6 million in Mexico, 12.5 million in Germany, 12.3 million in France, and strong numbers across Asia, including 9 million in India and 7.3 million in Indonesia.
South Korea has also embraced the film, with box office earnings of 38.82 million dollars and more than 5 million tickets sold. The film is just shy of surpassing F1 to become the country’s top-grossing film of the year.

Directed by Haruo Sotozaki and animated by studio ufotable, the film features character designs by Akira Matsushima and music composed by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina. Released in Japan on July 18 and in the United States on September 12, the film has quickly become a global phenomenon.
