Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 continues its historic box office run in Japan, now standing as the third most successful Japanese film in history. After only 31 days in theaters, the movie has drawn more than 18 million admissions and earned 25.78 billion yen, which is approximately 174 million USD.

The record-breaking milestone comes just days after the film surpassed One Piece Film Red to claim the sixth spot among the highest-grossing anime films. Infinity Castle has now climbed even higher, proving once again the immense global appeal of the Demon Slayer franchise. With fans and critics praising both the emotional storytelling and the breathtaking animation, the movie is already being compared to the legendary success of Mugen Train, which holds the all-time record with 40.75 billion yen.

A newly released key visual featuring the Shinobu versus Doma battle has only fueled further anticipation. Infinity Castle began its worldwide rollout on August 14 and is set to premiere in North America on September 12. Crunchyroll Mega and Ultimate Fan subscribers will also enjoy early access screenings starting September 9.

Ahead of its Japanese release, the demand was so intense that the earliest tickets sold out within minutes. The film opened across the largest number of theaters in franchise history, running at 155 minutes and delivering an unforgettable cinematic experience. Adding to the buzz, all episodes and films in the Demon Slayer series were made available for free streaming on YouTube for one week starting August 16, giving fans a chance to relive the story before watching the finale unfold.

With its incredible momentum, Infinity Castle has proven to be more than just an anime movie. It is a cultural event that continues to break barriers in global cinema and showcase the unstoppable power of anime storytelling.
