Ren Yamashiro, one of the most powerful and commanding characters in Chained Soldier, is officially getting her own scale figure. The announcement was made as part of a string of updates related to Season 2 of the anime, which is currently scheduled to premiere in 2026. This new figure will be produced in collaboration by three companies, with Union Creative and Solarain already confirmed to be involved in the project. The collectible is based on Ren’s appearance in the Season 2 key visual, where she appears in full command as the Head Commander of the Anti-Demon Corps.
Ren has been a fan favorite since her first proper reveal at the end of Season 1. Her fierce leadership, striking design, and mysterious backstory have made her one of the most talked-about characters in the series. With this new figure, collectors and fans will finally be able to bring her character to life in physical form, just ahead of her expanded role in the sequel.
Along with the figure news, fans also received key production updates about the anime itself. Studio Seven Arcs, which animated the first season, will be stepping back, while Studio Passione is taking the lead for Season 2. Hayabusa Film has been confirmed as the co-studio. The change in production houses also brings a new creative team on board, with Tamura Masafumi joining as the director and Nakano Keiya taking over as character designer. These changes hint at a slightly refreshed visual and narrative approach while still remaining faithful to the original manga’s intense action and supernatural themes.
The cast remains largely unchanged, which is a relief for longtime viewers. Kana Hanazawa will return as the voice of Ren Yamashiro, while the rest of the core team includes Yuya Hirose as Yuki Wakura, Akari Kito as Kyoka Uzen, and Yume Miyamoto as Himari Azuma. Other returning names include Mari Hino, Maaya Uchida, Tomori Kusunoki, Rina Hidaka, and Nene Hieda, bringing a sense of continuity to the much-anticipated sequel.
Chained Soldier is adapted from the manga Mato Seihei no Slave, written by Takahiro, best known for Akame Ga Kill, and illustrated by Yohei Takemura. The manga has been running on Shonen Jump+ since 2019 and is published in English by Yen Press. Known for its edgy premise, powerful female characters, and strategic supernatural battles, the series quickly carved out a space among action-fantasy anime fans.
As the hype builds for Season 2, the combination of a new production team, consistent voice cast, and high-quality merchandising shows that the franchise is gearing up for a strong comeback. Whether it is through expanded character arcs or collector-worthy figures, Chained Soldier is ready to evolve in new and exciting ways.
